Meet Coco Cline from #Follow Me For Murder!

Hi Coco,

Great to have you on my blog today to talk to us about your latest adventure, #Follow Me For Murder.

Thank you so much for having me! It’s always great to chat with a fellow blogger.

I understand that you are the one who found the victim. What was that like?

I am still having nightmares about it. It honestly took my brain a few moments to compute just exactly what I was seeing when I walked into the break room of my clients’ store. I don’t want to get all gory, but it was a sight that I will never, ever forget.

I tried to help the poor woman, but unfortunately, I was too late. Once I was able to get 911 on the phone, the police were there only a few minutes later and I got swept into their investigation as the first person on the scene.

Were you secretly thrilled to investigate a murder? Or did you fight taking on the role of amateur sleuth?

My besties Jasper and Charlotte and my boyfriend Hudson will tell you I was secretly thrilled.

Personally, I felt obligated to do what I could to help my clients clear their name. As their social media PR consultant, when I heard that the Chens were the only suspects the police had, I knew I had to jump in and rectify this PR nightmare.

You run your own social media consulting firm, how did that career come about for you?

Center of Attention Consulting Services is my new baby.

After the mobile app I helped create was bought out by Facebook in a highly publicized acquisition, I needed a new challenge…and a steady paycheck. I’d bought a new car and a gorgeous beachfront home with my portion of the buyout, so I couldn’t exactly afford to retire at twenty-five. I decided to put my online skills to the test to help other small business owners achieve success.

With my popular lifestyle blog Trending Topic crossing into the “social media influencer” space, I had learned a lot of amazing tips and tricks over the years about how to make your online profiles flourish. I wanted to share that knowledge with others, and thus, Center of Attention was born!

Tell us about Central Shores, Delaware:

It’s home. I was born here and something about its charm and character enticed me to come back once my celebrity status became too overwhelming.

I needed a haven, away from the media and privacy-invading paparazzi, and Central Shores fit the bill. It’s a beautiful little beach town with an amazing collection of shops we call “the strip” right across from the waters of the Atlantic. My best girl friend, Charlotte, owns Brewed to Perfection, an amazing coffee shop and the first client Center of Attention ever had!

There’s also a fab clothing boutique, a juice place, and a pub, just to name a few. It’s a lovely little tourist town. You should totally come visit! (I would LOVE to! Thank you for the invitation.)

What’s something your author doesn’t know about you.

Hmm, I’m a pretty open book with Sarah, but she might not realize how draining it is for me to live my life online all the time.

I think that’s why I started Center of Attention. It allowed me to do something more than just be on social media. I love my followers, and I’m forever thankful for all their support, but I’m really loving the challenge of helping those around me with my CoA business and having those face-to-face interactions with clients.

What would you like us to know about your author?

While Sarah and I are pretty much opposites, we do share a love of being busy.

While I wish I was the sole focus of her writing life, I’m just one of many mystery-solving ladies Sarah works with. Hazel Wickbury, from the Glenmyre Whim Mysteries, and Duchess Jacqueline, from the Court of Mystery series, are two of my fabulous comrades in crime!

Give us a hint of what you are up to next:

Well, workwise, I am hoping to bring on an assistant to help me with all the new Center of Attention engagement requests. It would be so great to have a partner on projects. Life-wise, I’m hoping things will quiet down for the summer here in Central Shores. After the wild events of #FollowMe for Murder, I need some time to rest and recharge but I have an odd feeling that won’t happen…

Author Pet Corner!

Eevee!
Eevee!

Eevee is a four-year-old rescue pup from Texas.

She came to her fur-ever home with us in New York in 2020.

She’s what we call a “pup cocktail” – she’s part Australian cattle dog, Australian shepherd, basset hound, cocker spaniel, and shih tzu.

She’s the most lovable thing ever and such a good girl.

While she’s very content to watch me write all day, she also reminds me to get up and play.

Walks with Eevee are when I do my best plotting, too!

Sarah E. Burr, Author of #Follow Me For Murder

#Follow Me For MurderSarah E. Burr lives near New York City. Hailing from the small town of Appleton, Maine, she has been dreaming of being Nancy Drew since she was a little girl. Since Sarah wasn’t stumbling across any crime scenes in corporate America, she left her career in healthcare technology to write mysteries of her own.

Her novel #FollowMe for Murder, first in the Trending Topic Mysteries, shines the spotlight on a social media PR expert after she discovers a dead body in her clients’ store, forcing her to untangle a web of secrets in her small, beach-side town.

Sarah is also the author of the Court of Mystery series and the Glenmyre Whim Mysteries. She is a member of Sisters in Crime, currently serving as the New York Tri-State Chapter’s social media guru. When she’s not spinning up new stories, Sarah is off seeing Broadway musicals, reading up a storm, video gaming, and enjoying walks with her dog, Eevee.
