2025 had bright spots and rough patches. Highlights for me were launching The Haunting of Emily Grace and doing live events. There’s nothing better than spending time with readers in the real world. Thank you to all of you who came out.
Happy New Year 2026 Juniper!
Another highlight was adding Juniper to the family.
This little girl ran out of my pasture in the dark and launched herself into my arms. She was skin and bones, but started to purr. I knew immediately she was meant to be with us.
She purrs so much and so loud, the vet has to hold something stinky under her nose so she’ll stop long enough for them to listen to her heartbeat. She’s fat and happy now, and never tries to go outside. She’s definitely an indoor kitty!
Her favorite place to be is in front of the fireplace, usually on her back with all four feet in the air.

Looking forward, I’m thrilled to report that the third Bet River’s book is coming out in 2026.
Kill to Keep may be my favorite book in the series so far. It has a solid mystery, but it also delves into the personal side of Bet’s life, which was a lot of fun to write. I hope readers feel the same! Keep an eye out for the cover reveal and launch date coming soon.
